Perfect session apart from the lack of water. It was a quite a low level
high tide and a late one so sailed till sunset. Was totally maxed out to
start with and had a few mad runs that ended in some spectacular crashes. I
was struggling to keep the big board in the water as it was bouncing and
flying of every little wave resulting in big wipeouts. Managed quite a few
water starts again today so think im gettin to grips with them although I
still got catapulted over the front of the board a few times.
The wind dropped off at the end slightly to a nice managble strength and I
was still planing. Would of been a perfect session had there been a higher
tide as I had quite a walk out to the water at first. I kept running into
the shallows throughout the session which resulted in the skeg digging into
the soft mud sending me flying over the front quite a few times as well.
Managed to rip a hole in the bottom of my sail as well so gotta do another
repair to this already knackered sail.
